Laser technology is AWESOME! I am 48 years old and work at a bakery. My job requires lifting heavy pans. I had swollen joints (arthritis) and my hands hurt all of the time. It affected my ability to work and my ability to enjoy my home life. I suffered with this pain for months, and after only 2 laser treatments my pain was gone. I can now enjoy my work and my home life. Thank you Dr. Fowers!”

As a health care provider who relies heavily on the use of my hands, you can imagine my concern when a moment of inattention left me with a sliced open index finger.  5 stitches later the skin was healing nicely but altered sensation from the severed nerves left me unable to touch it or place any pressure on it.  After 6 weeks the nature of the pain had changed to a hot searing sensation when touched in certain areas.  I complained to Dr. Fowers and laser treatment was suggested.  Much to my surprise, one treatment  took the nerve sensation completely away.  I have been back to functioning normally ever since.  I'm completely convinced of the benefits and would recommend it to everyone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it hurt? What does treatment feel like?

There is little or no sensation during treatment.

Are there any side effects or associated risks?

Very few side effects have ever been reported. If a patient is allergic to light then they may get a rash or blister for a few days. Occasionally some old injuries or pain syndromes may feel aggravated for a few days, as the healing response is more active after treatment.

How long does each treatment take?

Depending on the size of the area and condition being treated, a typical treatment duration is 5-15 minutes.

How often should the patient be treated?

Acute conditions may be treated daily, particularly if they are accompanied by significant pain. More chronic problems respond better when treatments are received 2-3 times per week

How many treatments does it take?

It depends on the condition you are being treated for. Acute conditions can be treated 1-6 times, whereas more chronic conditions may require 10-15 treatments, maybe even more.

How long before the results are felt?

Improvement may be seen as soon as your first treatment. Sometimes it may take a number of treatments, but this does not mean nothing is happening. Each treatment is cumulative and results are often felt after 3-4 sessions.

Therapeutic Laser Biological Effects:

Rapid Cell Growth — Laser light accelerates cellular reproduction and growth.

Faster Wound Healing — Laser light stimulates fibroblast development and accelerates collagen synthesis in damaged tissue.

Increased Metabolic Activity — Higher outputs of specific enzymes, greater oxygen and food particle loads for blood cells and thus greater production of the basic food source for cells, Adenosine Tri-Phosphate (ATP).

Reduced Fibrous Tissue Formation — Laser light reduces the formation of scar tissue following tissue damage from: cuts, scratches, burns or post surgery.

Anti-Inflammatory Action — Laser light reduces swelling caused by bruising or inflammation of joints to give enhanced joint mobility.

Increased Vascular Activity — Laser light induces temporary vasodilation increasing blood flow to damaged areas.

Stimulated Nerve Function — Slow recovery of nerve function in damaged tissue can result in “dead” limbs or numb areas. Laser light speeds the process of nerve cell reconnection to bring the numb areas back to life.http://www.multiradiance.com/conditionsCovered.php
